Glossary

Lessons Learned

Experiences gained from completed projects and captured in reviews and reports. These documented positive and negative experiences can be used actively and applied to future projects in order to avoid duplication and repeating mistakes.

Since the application has a strong situative character due to the diversity of the projects, there is no standardized lessons learned process.  In addition to facts and figures the description of personal teachings may provide an important contribution.

LSV (Service level agreement)

Written agreement between the principal (e.g. manufacturer) and the contractor (e.g. supplier) on who will take which tasks in a project cooperation. In addition to requirements, work contents and responsibilities usually information relations are defined, too.
